Laundries

There are numerous laundries scattered around town. Most will do the washing for you, but it’s best to work out in advance the payment. Some only charge for the cost of the machines plus soap, some have a set add-on. For yachties, probably the most handy is the RRE Laundromat next to Air Marshall Islands in Uliga. It is a little bit more expensive than most, but its location can’t be beat. If there’s a drought, don’t be surprised that the laundries will be temporarily closed.

I also supply my own soap, because the type used is cheap and can cause itching if you have sensitive skin. The woman only charges the cost of the machines, but we generally give her a $5 tip depending on the size of the load. [/su_box]
