Majuro Taxi Driver
The film team Sea Gypsies, sailing on the big red yacht Infinity, spent many, many months anchored off Majuro in the Marshall Islands whilst doing ship repairs to get ready for sailing the Northwest Passage. During that time, when not scraping rust, gluing sails and generally fixing stuff, the crew met a few eccentric locals and semi-locals, some of whom pass the copious amounts of island time making fantastic music. They also spent a lot of time in Majuro Taxis … as there aren’t really any bikes or sidewalks, and its only $1 to ride around downtown. The Sea Gypsies dedicated this video to Majuro’s taxi drivers.
